Sweet Potato Pecan Bread
1 1/2 cups sugar (granulated)
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsps baking soda
1-8 oz. Pkg cream cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp cinnamon
4 eggs
1/2 tsp allspice
1-1 lb. Can mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
Cream sugar, cheese, and butter until well blended and fluffy. Add eggs, one at
a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in mashed potatoes. Add dry
ingredients and mix only until moistened. Pour into two
greased and floured bread pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10
minutes.
