Crockpot Pinto Beans
1 lb. Pinto beans
1 ham hock
4 cups water
1 onion, chopped
1 or 2 tbsp.. Chili powder (to taste)
1/2 tsp. Dried oregano
Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
Soak beans over night. Drain beans. In crockpot add water, ham hock, onions,
chili powder and oregano. Add drained beans and stir well. Cook on HIGH for 5
hours.
*If you don't have any ham hocks, 2 slices of bacon chopped will do just fine.
