Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls
Filling:
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Frosting:
1/3 cup cream cheese (can be low-fat)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Powdered sugar
Use your favorite bread machine recipe, set to dough cycle.
Roll or pat the dough into a square 1/4 to 1/2" thick. Spread with soft butter,
or brush with melted butter if you prefer. Mix cinnamon and sugar together in an
old spice jar. Sprinkle with the mixture. Add chopped nuts and/or raisins if you
like. Roll up tightly.
For moister rolls, place side by side in a greased
(sprayed) 9X12 pan. If you like them separate, place on a greased cookie sheet
several inches apart.
Bake at 325 degrees for a glass dish, or 350 degrees for a
metal pan, for 20 minutes or so. I use a fork to pull out a center from one in
the center of hot pan to see if it has bread consistency. If you overbake,
they'll be dry.
Frosting:
Stir together all ingredients, then add powdered sugar to make it as thick as
you like. Put it on as soon as you take the rolls out of the oven and let it
melt over the hot rolls. AUTHOR: Patti Barrett |
