"Sin"-A-Mon Rolls
There is nothing like the smell of cinnamon rolls baking in the morning. We
serve these hot out of the oven every Sunday morning to our guests. The dough is
made in the bread machine. December through March, we have fresh oranges that we
pick and zest just for the citrus frosting.
Dough
1-1/2 cups milk
3 ounces butter
1 egg
4-1/2 cups flour
3 ounces sugar
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon plus 1-1/2 teaspoons yeast
Butter
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
Frosting:
8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Make the rolls in your bread machine on the dough cycle. The process takes about
1-1/2 hours. Remove dough from machine when finished and roll out into a
rectangle (9 x 14 inches).
Spread with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1-inch wide rolls. You should have 12
rolls.
Place in chafing pan. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled
in size.
Bake at 325 for 15 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes and top with
frosting.
Frosting: Combine all ingredients, beating until fluffy.
