Holiday Spiced Pumpkin Pie with Pralines and
1 9" deep dish frozen pie shell
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 cups half and half (or half cream if desired)
1 pound canned pumpkin
Prepare pie shell by prebaking in a 350ºF oven for 8 minutes.
Combine remaining ingredients and beat until blended. Pour mixture
into prepared pie shell. Place pie on a cookie sheet and bake in a
350 oven for 40 minutes.
Prepare praline pecan topping by stirring
together 1/4 c. melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 3/4 cup
chopped pecans. Spread topping carefully over top of pie and
continue baking for about 10-15 minutes, or until a knife inserted
in center comes out clean.
