Gooey Butter Cake
1 box (18-1/2 ounces) yellow cake mix
1 stick butter
8 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 pound powdered sugar
Chopped pecans, optional
Mix cake mix, 2 eggs and butter together and spread into greased
13X9-inch pan. Mix cream cheese, 3 eggs, vanilla and powdered sugar
together until smooth and pour over cake mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Sprinkle 3
tablespoons powdered sugar over top with chopped pecans, if using.
Bake for an additional 30 minutes at 350° F. Do not overbake.
