Onion Topped Mashed Potatoes
3 to 4 C. hot mashed potatoes
1 C. sour cream
1-1/2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese
several cloves roasted garlic, optional
1-1/3 C. French's Taste Toppers (canned fried onions)
Mix hot mashed potatoes with sour cream, 1 cup of the cheese and garlic, if using. Stir well and spoon into a buttered 2-quart oblong baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese in the center.
Add a border of Taste Toppers (crush the crisp onions a bit, as necessary).
Bake 10 minutes at 375°F.
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
