Old Town Tortilla Factory Kahlúa Tortillas
8 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. lard
1 T. salt
1 1/2 T. sugar
1 1/2 T. baking powder
2 C. water
3/4 C. Kahlúa liqueur
Mix flour, lard, salt, sugar and baking powder in mixer. Add 1 cup of the water
and Kahlúa. Mix. Add more water as needed for desired consistency. Mix on low
speed for 7 minutes.
Roll dough into about 40 balls.
Place one ball on a floured surface. Roll in one direction with medium pressure.
Flip tortilla and roll in other direction.
Cook over medium heat for 20 seconds. Flip and cook opposite side.
Repeat with remaining dough balls.
Makes about 40 tortillas.
