Ham Loaf Recipe

4 lbs. ground ham
3 lbs. ground pork
4 eggs
2 C. dried bread crumbs
2 C. evaporated milk
1/2 C. ketchup
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground black pepper
1 C. finely diced onion
1 C. finely diced green pepper

2 C. brown sugar
2 T. mustard powder
1/2 C. cider vinegar

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl, combine the ham, pork, eggs, bread crumbs, evaporated milk, ketchup, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. Mix all together well and form into a loaf. Place loaf into two lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. (For easier clean up, use foil pans.)

Bake for about 90 minutes.

While the loaf is baking, combine the brown sugar, mustard powder and vinegar. Mix well and pour over the loaf in the final 15 minutes of baking.

Yield: 20 servings

Note: Ask your butcher to grind the ham for you.
