Grandma Ann's Nutbread Nut Cups
Dough:
3 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 stick shortening
1 C. flour (do not sift)
Filling:
1 egg beaten
3/4 C. brown sugar
1 C. finely ground nuts
1 t. vanilla
1 t. melted butter
Mix the cream cheese and shortening together; add flour. Form into 24 balls and
place in small muffin tins, shaping cups.
Mix filling ingredients together. Put about 1 teaspoon filling into each cup.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Makes approximately 24 nut cups.
