Legal Sea Foods Crab Dip
4 oz. cream cheese
1 T. heavy cream
1 T. grated onions
1 T. prepared horseradish
1/2 t. Old Bay Seasoning
2 oz. shredded white cheddar cheese
1 T. sliced fresh chives
1/2 lb. crabmeat, undrained
In a bowl, blend the cream cheese and cream until smooth. Mix in the onion,
horseradish, Old Bay seasoning, cheddar cheese and chives. Gently fold in the
crabmeat with juices.
Place the dip in a small baking dish. Bake approximately 8 minutes at 350
degrees. Serve with Asian crab chips (see note).
Makes 2-4 servings.
Note: It is served with Sa Giang brand crab chips, which can be found at an
Asian market. These chips puff up when fried in cooking oil, becoming light and
crunchy.
If you can't find them, use crackers or bread.
