Basic Vanilla Ice Cream
2 eggs
2 C. milk
1/3 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
1 C. heavy whipping cream
Separate the eggs and make a soft custard of the milk, egg yolks and
sugar. Beat the eggs whites stiff and over them pour the hot custard
and mix thoroughly. Add the vanilla and salt and, when cold, the
whipped cream. Freeze according to manufactures directions. |
