Pork Roast Brown roast under the broiler for approximately 10 minutes, turn to brown the other side for another 10 minutes. Place half the onion over bottom of crockpot, place browned roast on top of onions. Place remaining onion over roast. Combine soy sauce and hot water and slowly pour over roast. Add bay leaves and the cloves. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove meat and use the juices To make a delicious gravy. To make the gravy, strain the juices into a pot on the stove and bring to a boil. Then mix approximately 1 rounded tablespoon flour and 1
rounded tablespoon cornstarch with about 1/2 cup of water in a container with a
tight seal, shake it up for a few seconds, then pour it into the boiling juices
while stirring constantly. Let simmer till thick and it's ready to serve. |
