Kosher Style Chicken Adobo

5 chicken legs and thighs
About 1 tsp each of garlic powder, turmeric, pepper, and ground cumin
2 lemons
1 cup of dry white wine or orange juice
Bit of olive oil

Remove skin from chicken. Pour wine or OJ on top. Sprinkle chicken with juice of 2 lemons. Sprinkle all the spices on top. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil.

If possible, let stand 1/2 hour in refrigerator. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 and 1/4 hours or until tender.

Yield: serves 5
