Melted Torsos and Legs
5 pounds frozen chicken wings
3/4 cup apricot preserves
6 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet or
jelly roll pan with at least 3/4 inch high sides. Spread the chicken
wings out on the sheet (or sheets if needed) so that they are lying
in a single layer. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes. While the
chicken is baking, mix together the sauce. In a small pan melt the
apricot preserves. Remove from the heat and add the remaining
ingredients. Mix together until smooth.
Liberally brush a quarter of the sauce over the chicken wings, flip
them over and brush with another quarter of the sauce. Return to the
oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from the oven,
brushboth sides with the remaining sauce, and return to the oven.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken wings are thoroughly
cooked. Let cool before serving to prevent burned fingers. |
